Full Wolf Moon in Bulgaria
Full wolf moon is seen over the night sky over the town of Karnobat, some 300 km from capital Sofia, Saturday, 23 January 2016. In the Northern Hemisphere, the moon will take a high path across the sky, allowing for plenty of time to view if weather conditions allow. The Full Wolf Moon got its name because of the time of year in which it occurs, when January snow gathers deep in the woods and the howling of wolves can be heard echoing in the cold still air.
