Two Senior Citizens Killed In Fatal Shooting At Hackensack, New Jersey Nursing Home

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Hackensack Police Department are investigating an apparent shooting that occurred at CareOne at Wellington nursing home in Hackensack, New Jersey, United States on July 15, 2023. At approximately 8:51 a.m., Saturday the Hackensack Police Department responded to a 911 call from the nursing facility. Responding officers found a deceased 73-year-old female victim and a deceased 76-year-old male victim with apparent gunshot wounds. An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer-in-Charge Captain Michael Antista.
