Philippines: Filipinos commemorate People Power Revolution
Filipinos in yellow shirts walk along EDSA in Quezon City Philippines on February 25, 2016, the commemoration of 30th anniversary of People Power Revolution. People Power Revolution was a peaceful mass action of 1986 that ended twenty year authoritarian rule of late Dictator Ferdinand Marcos. Its 30th anniversary comes in time of national election campaign where the son of late Ferdinand Marcos, Senator Bongbong Marcos is running for vice president. A group of Martial Law victims opposed his vice presidential bid, a possible return of Marcoses in power. (Photo by Marlo Cueto/NurPhoto)
