Women from various indigenous communities are visiting the facilities of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) in Mexico to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Zapatista uprising. They are gathered at El Caracol Rebeldia y Resistencia in the mountains in the southeast of the country, in the area of Dolores Hidalgo, Chiapas. The Zapatista uprising, which began on January 1, 1994, was a 12-day rebellion led by the EZLN in the state of Chiapas and gained international attention for its demands for justice and the rights of Mexico's indigenous peoples.
