Refugee camp in Idomeni, Greece

Migrants queue for free food at a makeshift camp at the Greek-Macedonian border, near the Greek village of Idomeni on March 15, 2016, where thousands of refugees and migrants are stranded by the Balkan border blockade. Some 1,500 migrants who managed to cross into Macedonia, despite the border being closed to them for a week, have been sent back to Greece by Macedonian troops, officials said. The German and Greek leaders blasted Balkan countries for shutting their borders to migrants ahead of an EU ministers meeting on March 10.
