Unemployment in Sao Paulo

Posters with job offers are seen posted on poles in Itapetininga Baron Street in the old center of Sao Paulo, Brazil, on May 5, 2016. The Brazil reached a 10.9% unemployment rate, according to the latest data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). Already the numbers of March the General Register of Employed and Unemployed (Caged) of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security show suppression of 1.85 million formal jobs in 12 months. Deepening unemployment reaches emerging economies in general. But the Brazilian case is compounded by political and fiscal crises. (Photo by Cris Faga/NurPhoto)
