Candle For "YY" Victim of Rape and Murder

Hundreds of Women Activist held event called "Candle for YY" at Tugu Proklamasi (Indonesian Proclamation Monument) in Jakarta, on May 13, 2016. The event to mark the 40 Days after YY was rapped and murderred by 14 Boys from Bengkulu Province-Indonesia. On April 2, a schoolgirl going home from school was gang-raped and murdered by a group of 14 men and boys. Police swiftly apprehended 12 of the 14 alleged perpetrators, which include her ex-boyfriend and two students from her school. Half of the suspects are aged 18 or younger.
