Pashan Devi Temple
Indian tourists travel in a boat by the Pashan Devi Temple seen along the Naini Lake in Nainital, Uttarakhand, India, on April 19, 2024. Pashan Devi Temple is one of the prominent Hindu temples and is dedicated to Goddess Durga. The temple is an important place of worship for the locals. One of the main attractions of this temple is the 'Akhand Jyoti', an eternal flame that exists ever since the temple is first formed. As this temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, it is famous for sindoor and sarees and is visited by thousands of devotees each year. As a ritual, the devotees pour water, which touches the feet of the goddess idol and then flows into the lake. (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
