Hundreds in Toronto protest Rohingya persecution in Myanmar
Muslim girls chant slogans of support for the Rohingya Muslims as hundreds of demonstrators marched to protest against the violence against Rohingyas in Myanmar, in Toronto, Canada on September 16, 2017. Protestors called for Canada to pressure the United Nations to urge the government of Myanmar to stop the violence against Rohingya Muslims and allow Canada to investigate into the claims of genocide. Nearly 400,000 Rohingya refugees have fled into Bangladesh since late August during the outbreak of violence in the Rakhine state in Myanmar. The United Nations has called the longstanding crisis in Buddhist-majority Myanmar a 'textbook example of ethnic cleansing.' --- (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
