FOAM In Sao Paulo

Visitors observe the work of the artist Kohei Nawa, Espuma, at the Japan House in São Paulo, on November 6, 2017. The deep interest in the way things organize or disorganize is the essence of this first monographic project of a contemporary artist at JAPAN HOUSE. Foam, a work that is on the ground floor of the house, are small bubbles or cells that constantly form on the surface of a soap-like liquid. They build up to form an autonomous structure, each bubble being conditioned to its cycle of birth and destruction, similar to the condition of our own cells, which circulate, metabolize, and die.
