March against violence towards women in Athens
Women, men, a populous block of the LGBTQI community, political groups (feminists, leftists, anarchists), immigrants and refugees held a massive and colorful march in Athens, Greece, on 25 November 2017, to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The march began from Monastiraki area and crossed the main avenues of Greece's capital, protesting sexism and patriarchy and demanding the recognition of the womens' right to defend themselves when attacked or harassed.
