The condition of destroyed houses was seen when the water in Jatigede reservoir shrank in Cipaku village, Sumedang regency, West java province, on September 17, 2018. The long drought that hit a number of Indonesian regions, including West java province, caused Jatigede reservoir to shrink drastically, bringing back the lost village drowned during construction the reservoir, and it attracts people to see it.
