A meji is being burnt in front of Barpeta Kirtanghar in the occasion of Bhogali Bihu in Barpeta, Assam on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. The hay that collected from harvest along with dried trunks, leaves and branches are used to make natural hill is call Meji and its a tradition to burn in Bhogali Bihu.
