HALMULLAH, INDIAN ADMINISTERED KASHMIR, INDIA - FEBRUARY 11: A worker counts stacks of willow cleft used in making cricket bats in a factory on February 11, 2015 in Halmullah, 50 km, south of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir, India. Cricket bat manufacturers in Kashmir are experiencing a boom in sales with the Cricket World Cup beginning on February 14. Kashmir willow, whilst less valuable than English willow is widely used in cricket bats found across the globe, and manufacturers in Kashmir are hoping to increase exports on the back of the World Cup interest. Kashmir is a leading exporter of willow cricket bats after UK to the rest of the world. Ten percent of its products are exported, mainly to the cricketing heartlands of the UK, Australia and neighbouring Pakistan and Bangladesh. Cricket as a sport is considered as an opium of masses in both India and Pakistan. (Photo by Yawar Nazir/Nurphoto) (Photo by Yawar Nazir/NurPhoto)
