HUNGARY-MOHACS-BUSO CARNIVAL

(140303) -- MOHACS, March 3, 2014 () -- Masked busos (people wearing sheep fur and wooden masks) row across the Danube to celebrate the traditional Buso Carnival in Mohacs, southern Hungary on March 2, 2014. The Buso Carnival is an annual celebration of Sokac ethnic group living in Mohacs to bid farewell to winter and welcome spring. According to legend, local people dressed up in sheep fur and wooden masks in a bid to frighten off the Turkish invaders in the 16th century. This year's carnival takes place from February 27 till March 4. (/Attila Volgyi)
