As a capital city, Jakarta is a city which full of history. Previously, Jakarta was named Sunda Kelapa which was a port city which had been occupied by the Portuguese. But after being successfully re-occupied in 1527 by Fatahillah, a warlord from Java, Sunda Kelapa was renamed Jayakarta, which is a Sanskrit language which means "City of Victory", and now called Jakarta.
