179 Youth Of Jammu and Kashmir Induted Into Indian Army

SRINAGAR, INDIAN ADMINISTERED KASHMIR, INDIA - MARCH 04: The recruits of Indian armys soldiers from Kashmir raise their hands for taking oath on the Holy books during their passing out parade at Rangreth in a garrison on March 04, 2015 in the outskirts of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-administered Kashmir, India. A batch of 179 men from Jammu and Kashmiri take oath during their passing out parade to be inducted as infantry men into Indian Army’s Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment (JAKLI). These men have been trained for 49 weeks, that included different arms handling, map reading and counter-insurgency operations. The recruits will be actively involved in India’s anti-militancy operations in Indian administered Kashmir besides other military activities.Jammu and Kashmir is one of the most militarized zone in the world with India having around million solders operating here.
