75th Anniversary Warsaw Uprising

Thousands are seen gathering in the center of Warsaw, Poland on August 1, 2019 to mark the 75th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. On August 1, 1944 the underground Polish resistance organised an attempt to liberate the city from it's German occupiers resulting in a over 150 thousand civilian casualties after a decision to raze the capital in reprisal.
