In 2019 is commemorating 75 years since Operation Market Garden took place, in Nijmegen, on September 22, 2019. Operation Market Garden was one of the largest Allied operations of the Second World War. It took place on September 1944. At the time, the Allied Forces traveled from Belgium through several locations in the Netherlands, to finally end up in Nijmegen and Arnhem. The event started in the Belgian town of Leopoldsburg on September 14th. A military vehicle parade with around 600 army vehicles from the Second World War drove from the basecamp in Veghel to end in Nijmegen. This operation leads to the end of the Third Reich.
