Roman Colosseum
The Roman Colosseum, or Coliseum, is seen in Rome, Italy on July 18, 2019. The massive stone amphitheater, a feat of remarkable engineering, was commissioned around A.D. 70-72 by Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian dynasty as a gift to the Roman people. In A.D. 80 the Colosseum was opened. It is now known as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. (Photo by Patrick Gorski/NurPhoto)
