Wall Projections In Bologna The Night Before Italy's Liberation Day

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Image was converted to black and white) In the city's main square, Piazza Maggiore, a movie concerning the Liberation of Bologna from fascism in 1945 is projected on an historic building, in Bologna, Italy, on April 24, 2020. The day night before the 75th Anniversary of Italy's Liberation Day (25th of April), local associations in Bologna organized an event called 'Finestre resistenti' ('Resistant windows' ): projections of movies concerning the struggle for the Liberation of Italy from fascism are projected on different walls throughout the city by regular citizens. This is the first time in history that Italy cannot celebrate its Liberation Day with actual physical demonstrations in the streets due to the coronavirus (covid-19) containment measures currently in place throughout the country.
