Feast Of San Corrado In Molfetta During The Pandemic

The parish priest Don Vito Bufi poses for a portrait, in front of the statue and the relics of San Corrado, on February 9, 2021 in Molfetta. February 9 is the liturgical feast dedicated to San Corrado, patron saint of Molfetta. On this date the Church remembers the day on which, according to tradition, the relics of the Saint were transferred from Modugno, the place of his death, to Molfetta. The feast of San Corrado this year, for obvious reasons related to the current health emergency, was devoid of celebrations that had seen the city community gather around the traditional lighting of bonfires but only religious with different celebrations throughout the day and exhibited the relics of the saint in the Cathedral Church.
