Daily Life In Keerimalai
Ruins of buildings destroyed by a cluster bomb during the civil war in Keerimalai, Jaffna, Sri Lanka. These buildings are now located inside a Sri Lankan military compound controlled by the Sri Lankan Army. This is just one of the many reminders of the deep scars caused during the 26-year long civil war between the Sri Lankan Army and the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam). The United Nations estimates about 40,000 people were killed during the war. (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
