Pro-Palestinian Protests In Paris

While burning barricades were built by rioters, some pushed back motorists trapped by them during clashes with the police on 15 May 2021 when, at the call of many organisations, a demonstration in support of the Palestinian people was organised in the Barbès district of Paris following the recent tensions in the Middle East between Israel and Palestine, both in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Due to fears of outbursts, the march was banned by the Prefecture, creating numerous scenes of violence between demonstrators who had defied the ban and the police who were deployed in large numbers to prevent the slightest beginning of the rally.
