Heavy Rain In West Bengal
Due to Heavy Rains, the water level in several districts of different states, including West Bengal, is expected to rise. Earlier, West Bengal was in danger of flooding due to heavy rains and apprehension of water release from the dam due to cyclones of the Bay of Bengal. The Jalangi river water has started rising. The Jalangi River separates Tehatta-I Block and Tehatta-II Block. The only means of communication between two-block is this temporary bamboo bridge, but water also dangerously overflowing over that bridge. Mature Jute plants on the banks of the river are less than the previous year likely to be damaged. On 24 June 2021 in Tehatta, West Bengal, India. (Photo by Soumyabrata Roy/NurPhoto)
