White brotherhood in Bulgaria marks the beginning of the new devine year in Rila mountain

The traditional White Brotherhood gathering took place in the Bulgarian mountain of Rila, near the Babreka lake. The brotherhood's founder is Petar Danov. According to his teachings the August 19 th marks the beginning of the new devine year.The gathering is always based on the so called paneurhythmy dance. It takes place in the sun rise. Around 2 000 people danced this year. The World white brotherhood is founded in the beginning of the 20 th century by the bulgarian Petar Danov.
