Hebron, a divided city between jew and Muslim communities

Hebron, West Bank, 18th August 2015 The main religious building of the city is divided between Jews and Muslim.: on side there is Ibrahimi Mosque and the other side there is Ma’arat Hamachpela, the tomb of Patriachs. For both Jews and Muslims, the site is the second in importance only to Jerusalem’s Al Haram ash-Sharif/Temple Mount. The cenotaph of Abraham is the common room of both part. A bulletproof glass was installed on each side to protect the communities from one another (Photo by Michaud Gael/NurPhoto)
