Kashmir Government Fails To Support School For Disabled

Abhedananda Home, a school for deaf and dumb along with blind students in Srinagar the summer capital of Indian controlled Kashmir is finding hard to run the institution owing to lack of funds after the government stopped the grants to it. This school that was established in 1941 presently teaches 100 such special children. The school was severely damaged in last years September floods which killed over 200 and damaged property costing billions of dollars. The government declined any help to restore the infrastructure at this school, school authorities said.
