New England Maple Sugar Season

March 3, 2022: Every year in New England, maple syrup season signifies the end of winter. Across the states of Vermont and New Hampture, farmers collect gallons of maple sugar sap to boil down to the sweet syrup. Maple sugaring season in the United States and Canada begins in late February and ends early April. As a result, the United States is a significant producer of maple syrup, with around 4.24 million gallons of maple syrup in 2019. (Photo by Mark Stahl/NurPhoto)
