Mrs. Ika (Oey) produces layer cakes ordered by customers at his home ahead of the Chinese Lunar New Year, in Pasar Lama area, Tangerang city, Banten province, on January 15, 2023. Mrs. Ika (Oey) and her husband, Mr. Jaya (Kho), are sellers of layer cakes with many customers in the areas. They are the second generation who continue the layer cake business which was started in 1980 by Ika's mother. Layer Cake is one of the typical dishes of Chinese people in celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year, which philosophically means the hope that their fortune and blessings will also be layered in the new year.
