The China Unicom CUNIQ-01, a quadruped robot with a metallic red livery, navigates an obstacle course at the China Unicom pavilion during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, on March 5, 2026. This industrial-grade robot dog is powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano or Orin NX module for real-time edge processing and motion control, integrated with China Unicom's proprietary 5G-Advanced (5.5G) slicing technology for ultra-low latency remote operation. Its sensory suite includes a 360-degree LiDAR system for Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) and a front-facing 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with a Sony IMX708 sensor capable of 4K video transmission at 60fps for inspection purposes. The demonstration highlights CUNIQ's capability for autonomous patrolling in smart factories, featuring a payload capacity of 5kg and a specialized IP67 rating for harsh environments, as it utilizes AI-native network agents to transmit real-time telemetry and thermal imaging data to the cloud.
