'Kol' is one of the rare aboriginal communities of central india. Around 40 families with 200 people shelters in this remote village. The villagers get their drinking water from a well, 3 kms from their shelters as drinking water crisis is the main and basic problems in this remote area. Males earn their livinghood by working asa daily basis labours and rest women spend whole day in carrying drinking water .

Phumi Moat Khla, Tonle Sap, Cambodia. A family sit and await desperately needed medical treatment in a floating medical clinic situated deep on South East Asia's largest fresh water the lake the Tonle Sap. Poverty and illness are clearly evident in the communities here, surviving predominately on what the lake has to offer. A lack of fresh drinking water and basic sanitation are major factors of disease within these floating communities, resulting in the deaths of over 10.000 children per year.

Local fishermen cast a wide circular net from a wooden boat in the Brahmaputra River in Gaibandha, Bangladesh, on February 15, 2026. The sweeping arc of the net forms a near-perfect ring in the blue-green water as the boat moves slowly along the surface. This traditional fishing method reflects the river-dependent livelihoods that sustain rural communities across the Brahmaputra basin.
