Supporters of sex workers in Mexico City, Mexico, on January 23, 2026, stage a protest outside the Ministry of Public Works and Services against the construction of a bike lane on Calzada de Tlalpan, in anticipation of the World Cup in Mexico, scheduled to begin on June 11 of this year. They demand reparations, primarily for moral and labor-related damages, as well as respect for the spaces where they practice sex work along the stretch from San Antonio Abad to Taxquena, stating that their income is negatively impacted by the construction.
