Resident Maria Tiraco of Lodi, New Jersey is helped from a boat after being rescued by the Lodi Fire Department following torrential rains and widespread flooding caused by the remannts of Hurricane Ida, September 2, 2021. Tiraco said she was awakened in the night by the sound of objects falling, to discover that three feet of water had inundated her first-floor apartment.
