Even though taxi drivers are required by law to have one the units in their taxi’s already three out of four producers of on board computers have gone out of business. Producers blame bad government policies and late payments from clients. Currently many taxi drivers are unable to update their on board units and so are not using them all the while running the risk of receiving a hefty fine if caught by police.

The Division urges the public to remain cautious, as there is still a possibility of rain, hail, and windstorms in various parts of the country. It also advises people to avoid unnecessary travel and take necessary precautions to minimize potential damage caused by the adverse weather conditions.
