Table Mountain is appearing in the background of the Butte County Courthouse, in Oroville, Calif., on Sunday, June 28, 2024. The Thompson Fire is beginning in the areas of Cherokee and Thompson Flat Cemetery, which are leading to the North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve. The Park Fire, California's largest fire currently burning, is beginning less than a month after the Thompson Fire's containment. Ronnie Dean Stout II, the man accused of sparking the Park Fire, is expected to appear at the Butte County Courthouse on Monday.
