The International Court of Justice (ICJ) at the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands, is currently rejecting Nicaragua's request to block Germany from selling weapons to Israel. The judges have voted 15 against 1, refusing the request for an emergency order that would direct Germany to halt arms sales to Israel amidst a conflict with Palestinians in Gaza. ICJ President Nawaf Salam has stated in the ruling that the current circumstances do not necessitate the court's intervention with provisional measures. Meanwhile, a protest in support of Palestine and Nicaragua is taking place outside the Peace Palace on April 30, 2024.
