The overhaul of the Kharkiv Highway is underway from Darnytska Square to the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, Ukraine, on March 25, 2026. As part of the major repairs, the roadway will be expanded to three lanes in each direction, with the far-right lanes allocated for public transport. Three underpasses near the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry and on Lytvynskoho Street will be equipped with elevators for people with limited mobility. Plans also include new sidewalks, cycle lanes, public transport stops, and an updated storm sewer system.
