Originally, the Westin stage, the 172 km fourth stage of Tour of Dubai 2017, was set up to start from DIMS - Dubai International Marina Club, and finish near Hatta Dam. But, due to the weather conditions and the forecast with most of the route being due to take place across the desert, the Race Management have decided to modify the route of Stage 4, and start from Hatta.
