A Nepali health professional administers the ''Human Papillomavirus'' (HPV) Vaccine at a school in Kathmandu, Nepal, on February 10, 2026. The Ministry of Health and Population instructs all bodies to complete the inoculation drive within three weeks starting this week to prevent any halts or pauses due to the parliamentary elections scheduled for March 5. With about three weeks left for the parliamentary elections after the political upheaval, the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination campaign continues across Nepal. According to the Child Health and Vaccination Branch of the Department of Health Services, vaccination begins for girls studying in grade 6 and out-of-school girls aged 10 years and above. During the campaign, girls currently studying in grades 7 to 10 and out-of-school girls aged 11 to 14 who missed last year's HPV vaccination campaign are also vaccinated. Girls studying in grade 6 are vaccinated at schools and other girls at vaccination centers.
