In Toulouse, France, on March 11th, 2023, protesters are showing placards reading ''Stop A69, Stop Ecocide. Delga, Bena-Lauch, the blood of trees is staining your hands''. Following the call of Greta Thunberg for a World School Strike and ''Fridays for Future'', Youth For Climate and collectives, NGOs are taking to the streets to denounce the government's inaction towards the climate crisis even after the 6th IPCC assessment report. The window to keep the temperature under +1.5?C is rapidly closing, as precised in the IPCC report, and they are also denouncing the lack of action against the environmental crisis by governments. The motto this year in Toulouse is against concreting and for islands of freshness in summer in cities. Several collectives such as ''La Voie Est Libre'' (against the planned A29 highway between Toulouse and Castres), ''No to the Rivel ZAC'', XR, etc. are present.

Portrait of workers, making student's recording studio in Mashal institute of higher education, Kabul, Afghanistan. Since 2002, the end of Taliban era (1996-2001) in Afghanistan, number of female students increased from zero to almost 15 000. In August 2012 there were more than 31 public higher education institutes out of which 17 universities, as compared to the year of 2002 where only seven public universities worked with big challenges like shortage of teachers, financial clutches, non-availability of books and virtual detachment from the other educational institutions.

Children help remove the debris of damaged houses following a huge fire that engulfs at least 800 houses in Bacoor, Cavite, the Philippines, on September 12, 2024. The fire breaks out in the early hours of September 10 and displaces nearly 1,000 families, with many living in poverty being forced to take shelter in nearby evacuation centers where assistance and relief efforts are given to the affected people. The accident occurs in a densely populated compound, where houses mainly made of iron sheets, wood, and combustible materials are built within narrow streets, which, according to local media reports, makes it difficult for rescuers to conduct emergency operations. This is one of the major fire disasters that make Filipinos homeless this year. Past research and reports by NGOs find that heightened electricity, straining power lines, as well as combustible materials such as dry leaves, grass, and garbage which are susceptible to ignition from sun exposure or discarded cigarettes, are some of the reasons why the Southeast Asian country is prone to fire.
