A poster gives out coronavirus handwashing advice at a bus stop in the Bloomsbury district of London, England, on March 19, 2020. Amid the ongoing covid-19 coronavirus crisis the British government today sought to quash mounting speculation of an imminent lockdown of the city involving restrictions on movement. New measures for pubs, cafes, bars and theatres are however expected to be announced shortly. Earlier, it was announced that 40 London Underground stations are to be closed as Transport for London begins scaling back its services, and many public spaces and streets in the capital today were visibly empty, with many shops and restaurants closed. To date, 953 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in London, with more than 2,600 cases and 137 deaths across the UK as a whole.

Members of the Victims' Mortgage Platform (PAH) camp to stop the eviction of Gonzalez' family and the demolition of their house by a forced expropriation in Madrid. The Government of Madrid applies a forced expropriation on ten family members including two couples with two children each and two elderly people. Angeles Gracia Gonzalez, says the Government of Madrid tries to expropriate their house since 2004 (during the Spanish property bubble) to build apartments and sell them as what she considers a real estate speculation with the excuse that the house interferes with the Urban Plan. She says the government offers them euro326.000 ($ 432.377) approximately half of what the family received as appraisal for the house, euro742.000 ($984.097). Photo: Rodrigo Garcia/NurPhoto
