EARTH Aboard the International Space Station -- 15 Dec 2015 -- Welcome aboard!...British ESA astronaut Tim Peake, NASA astronaut Tim Kopra and Russian cosmonaut commander Yuri Malenchenko arrived at the International Space Station today, six hours after their launch at 11:03 GMT. They were welcomed aboard by Russian cosmonauts Mikhail Korniyenko and Oleg Kononenko, and NASA astronaut Scott Kelly. The Soyuz TMA-19M spacecraft docked with the Space Station at 17:33 GMT. The astronauts opened the hatch at 19:58 GMT after checking the connection between the seven-tonne Soyuz and the 400tonne Station was airtight from Baikonur Cosmodrome in a Russian TMA-19M spacecraft with commander Yuri Malenchenko from ROSCOSMOS and NASA astronaut Tim Kopra. EARTH Aboard the International Space Station -- 18 Dec 2015 -- The first picture taken by British ESA astronaut Tim Peake onboard the International Space Station of the Soyuz TMA-19M spacecraft on 17 Dec 2015.
