All Damselflies Are Predatory Insects; Both Nymphs And Adults Actively Hunt And Eat Other Insects. The Nymphs Are Aquatic, With Different Species Living In A Variety Of Freshwater Habitats Including Acidic Bogs, Ponds, Lakes And Rivers. Their Presence On A Body Of Water Indicates That It Is Relatively Unpolluted, But Their Dependence On Freshwater Makes Them Vulnerable To Damage To Their Wetland Habitats. Damselflies Have Existed Since The Jurassic, And Are Found On Every Continent Except Antarctica.

The black-tailed godwit (Limosa limosa) is a large, long-legged, long-billed (7.5 to 12 cm) shorebird. It is a member of the godwit genus, Limosa. During the breeding season, the bill has a yellowish or orange-pink base and dark tip; the base is pink in winter. The legs are dark grey, brown or black. Its breeding range stretches from Iceland through Europe and areas of central Asia in fens, lake edges, damp meadows, moorlands, and bogs and uses estuaries, swamps and floods in winter; it is more likely to be found inland and on freshwater. Black-tailed godwits are spending the winter in areas as diverse as the Indian subcontinent, Australia, New Zealand, Western Europe and West Africa. The black-tailed godwit is the national bird of the Netherlands. The world population is estimated to be 634,000 to 805,000 birds and is classified as Near Threatened by IUCN. On March 09, 2023, black-tailed godwits are roaming and flying in search of food at the Wetland OxBow Lake known as 'Chupi Char' in East Burdawan, West Bengal, India.

The spotted redshank (Tringa erythropus) is a large wader (shorebird) in the large bird family Scolopacidae, It Breeds in arctic bogs and swamps; migrants occur in varied wetland habitats. Usually seen as singles or small groups, though will sometimes congregate in large flocks, especially on wintering grounds. Feeds mainly by wading in fairly deep water, probing and picking with its bill, at times swimming. The call is a creaking whistle teu-it (somewhat similar to the call of a roseate tern), the alarm calls a kyip-kyip-kyip. Spotted redshank is paler and greyer in Nonbreeding plumage in winter in water at the Wetland OxBow Lake known as 'Chupi Char' in East Burdawan, West Bengal; India on 09/01/2023.

The spotted redshank (Tringa erythropus) is a large wader (shorebird) in the large bird family Scolopacidae, It Breeds in arctic bogs and swamps; migrants occur in varied wetland habitats. Usually seen as singles or small groups, though will sometimes congregate in large flocks, especially on wintering grounds. Feeds mainly by wading in fairly deep water, probing and picking with its bill, at times swimming.
