Bidhya Devi Bhandari, former Nepali President who serves two consecutive terms, inaugurates a political office in Kathmandu, Nepal, on August 21, 2025. In late June, the former President announces her return to mainstream politics as a member of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal- Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML). Former President Bhandari, also the former vice-chair of the UML, is twice elected President of the country.
