Diwali celebrations bring happiness on the faces of every citizen in country India. Without the barrier of religion or caste, everyone celebrates the festival of joy. diwali means festival of lights lamps, business and the victory of good over evil. Devotees worship goddess Lakshmi because she incarnated on the new moon day (Amavasya) of the Kartik month during the churning of the ocean (Samudra-Manthan), hence the association of Diwali with Lakshmi. Tantra sadhana devotees worship goddess kali. One of another reason for this auspicious festival is The Victory of Rama: According to the epic ‘Ramayana’, it was the new moon day of Kartik when Lord Ram, Ma Sita and Lakshman returned to Ayodhya after vanquishing Ravana and conquering Lanka.
