An Abandoned-web orb-weaver spider (Parawixia dehaani) uses its web to capture a Great eggfly or Blue moon butterfly (Hypolimnas bolina) in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on June 4, 2025. The spider, which belongs to the family Araneidae, hunts by constructing a vertical orb web and relies on sight, vibration, and touch to detect prey, including insects larger than itself.
