A crowd is gathering on Avenida Paulista in the central region of Sao Paulo, Brazil, on January 25, 2024, in a demonstration supporting former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. The politician has called for the rally this Sunday after becoming the target of the Federal Police, which is investigating those involved in the anti-democratic acts of January 8, 2023, where they see evidence of a conspiracy to abolish the democratic state, among other crimes. According to the Military Police, there are 600 thousand people on the avenue during the ex-president's speech, a number that differs from a group of scholars from USP who estimate the crowd at 185 thousand people.
