A woman worker drying sun bricks that have been printed in a traditional brick-making center in Kalukubula Village, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on April 17, 2020. The bricks produced in that place are still made traditionally, by mixing the soil original with water and then put into a mold. The bricks are then dried in the sun and then burned with coconut fiber. The bricks were then marketed to building contractors. Currently the price is falling because demand is reduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Labors are stacking raw bricks for drying in the sun in a Brickfield in Sylhet, Bangladesh, on 16th December 2015. Bricks are one of the most fundamental items of new construction and also any sort of development. In Bangladesh most of the Brickfields (where bricks are made) operates only during the winter. During this season labors from across the country come to places where more number of brickfields operates. Brickfield owners make huge profit from their making of bricks but mostly they never ensure the basic need of the labors. Government organisations need to look into it for ensuring minimum life standard for the labors.
