A lupin field is seen in Lake Tekapo in the Mackenzie Country, South Island, New Zealand, on January 4, 2026. Tekapo is one of New Zealand's most popular tourist attractions. Each November, huge, colorful fields of lupin flowers begin to emerge along the lake shores, streams, canals, and highways of the Mackenzie Region of New Zealand. However, lupins are a non-native species of flowers, and they cause a number of problems in New Zealand because they spread rapidly, pushing native flora and fauna out of their habitats.

Rows of flower wreaths line the fence at the Jayakarta Military Regional Command Headquarters (kodam Jaya) in Cawang, Jakarta, on November, 23,2020. The flower wreath is a form of support from Indonesian citizens to the Indonesian National Army (TNI) who have guarded the people's sovereignty by taking firm steps related to the polemic of the masses in dealing with all problems during the Covid 19 period and maintaining the handling of health protocols and economic recovery.

People bring flowers, candles and wreaths to the Nowa Huta cross monument, on the site marking the 60th anniversary of dramatic events surrounding the original cross's removal. Nowa Huta was a communist idea of the perfect socialist city, one without God. But during the 1950s, locals officially asked the communist government for a church construction permit and received a positive response in 1956. In 1957 a cross was put up and consecrated on the site of the planned church construction. Yet in early 1960 the authorities withdrew the building permit, and on 27th April 1960 a team of workers was sent to remove the cross. Clashing with hundreds of police (secret services and army), thousands of Nowa Huta locals stood up to defend the cross. Among the locals was Bishop Karol Wotyla (Pope John Paul II). On Monday, April 27, 2020, in Krakow, Poland.
